Job description
Job Description As a Principal Product Definition Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Proactively observe emerging trends, technological advancements, and market requirements to conceptualize innovative product ideas
- Define product requirements and specifications in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives
- Support feasibility studies to validate the technical and market viability of potential products, focusing on innovation and practicality
- Investigate alternatives during the definition phase, assessing risks and incorporating innovative solutions into the product roadmap
- Act as the technical authority for product definition within the Business Line (BL) or Functional Area, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Take a leading role in defining technical direction for products and ensuring seamless execution of product definition processes
- Share knowledge and promote best practices across organizational boundaries to enhance collaboration and innovation
- Establish yourself as a technical thought leader within the organization and in the broader technical community
- Build and maintain a strong professional network within your industry and technical domain to stay at the forefront of innovation
- Demonstrate deep technical understanding in your area of expertise, with the ability to translate technical advancements into product requirements
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure product requirements are well understood and executed
